Broker Resources

As a valuable member of the Sales Team, you will have access to many services not commonly offered to non-employees. These resources are designed to help make you as successful as possible. The information listed below identifies the benefits of these services. Take a look and we think you’ll agree Physicians Health Choice is like no other health plan partner.

Newsletters
Newsletters will be distributed monthly during open enrollment and quarterly thereafter. Each newsletter will contain valuable information regarding benefits, announcements, and miscellaneous information important to our Broker Sales Team.

Social Services
The Social Services Unit was created to facilitate the application for the Medicare Savings Programs. Brokers may refer Physicians Health Choice enrollees to the Social Services Unit for assistance in the application process. Social Services team members will gather initial information to determine if the enrollee meets the income and asset guidelines. If these guidelines are met, the team member will initiate the application and forward to the Physicians Health Choice enrollee for confirmation of information, supporting documents and signature. Upon receipt of the signed application and supporting documents, the application will be forwarded to the state for review and eligibility determination. Physicians Health Choice does not determine eligibility; we simply facilitate the application process for our members.

Broker HelpLine
Each broker has access to a dedicated toll-free broker line to validate agent/member enrollment. This line is a resource to help determine prospective members Medicare benefit status, and can provide operational and administrative support of Physicians Health Choice benefit interpretation. It is also a great tool for auditing and assisting with independent broker compensation.

Member Services
In an effort to maintain the level of service you provide to all Medicare Beneficiaries, Physicians Health Choice will compliment that service with our Member Service Department. This department is designed to meet the service needs of our members. All requests related to membership in Physicians Health Choice should be directed to the Member Service Department. This team of highly skilled, customer oriented employees are trained to meet the needs of our targeted population.

Online Training and Certification
All Physicians Health Choice Brokers have access to a computer-based, web-enabled Medicare Sales Training and Certification program consisting of three modules.

  • Health plan education, describing Physicians Health Choice Medicare health plan options, benefits and features, and other pertinent information customized specifically by Physicians Health Choice.
  • Medicare information and issues relating to Parts A, B, C and D of the Medicare regulations.
  • Medicare requirements regarding enrollment periods, marketing guidelines, ethics and provider marketing.

In addition to the initial training program, Brokers receive training updates as a result of changes in Physicians Health Choice products, policies and procedures, and Medicare regulations and guidance. Customized quarterly newsletters are sent via email to all brokers, and customer service is provided 24/7 through a telephone hotline. Agents are able to get information on how to log-in with password support and other technical information.
